“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” – Fred Rogers
The children enrolled in Early Morning Care (7:30 – 8:30) are offered a light breakfast (typically cereal and milk). A variety of activities are available to them during this time. At 8:30am they move to their assigned morning class.
Children enrolled in the Extended Day Program have the choice of working with the Montessori materials or playing with a large selection of toys. The staff plan weekly cooking and art projects and weather permitting the children enjoy additional playground time.
